Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu · Belmont, Bay Area
A Stronger, More Confident Kid Starts on the Mat. Their First Class Is Free.
Age-grouped Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for kids 4–12, built around focus, respect, confidence, and fun. No experience needed.
This is what growing on the mat looks like.
Real Fúria students, real coaches, and a room where kids and adults learn to move with purpose.

What parents are really looking for
You're not trying to raise a fighter.
You want your child to listen when things get hard. To handle frustration without shutting down. To move their body, look people in the eye, and feel capable without needing to prove anything.
The goal isn't aggression. It's calm confidence they can carry off the mat.
The first three classes
A simple start that makes progress feel possible.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is physical problem-solving. There are no punches or kicks: kids learn balance, movement, position, and control with a coach guiding the room. We make the first steps clear.
Move
Learn how to stand, fall, base, and move safely. A few clear wins help a new student feel like they belong right away.
Solve
Work through one position with a partner. Technique starts replacing force, and listening starts turning into action.
Control
Connect movement and position at an age-appropriate pace. Stay calm, reset, and try again—the skill behind every belt.
They don't have to be aggressive. They learn to stay calm, think clearly, and act with control.

A place to grow stronger without becoming someone else.

They join their age group

Leave knowing how your child responded and which program fits. The trial is free, with no obligation to enroll.
Parent questions, answered
The reasons families wait, handled.
“My child is shy.”
They don't have to perform for the room. The first class gives them space to observe, follow along, and build comfort one instruction at a time.
“My child has too much energy.”
Jiu-Jitsu gives that energy a job: listen, move, solve, reset. The room is active, but the structure asks for attention and self-control.
“They've never done martial arts.”
That's exactly what a trial class is for. Beginners learn the room, the language, and the movement before anything is expected of them.
“It looks too rough.”
BJJ is taught through technique, position, and control—not punches or kicks. Partner work is supervised and matched to the student's level.
“I don't know Gi from No-Gi.”
Gi uses the traditional jacket and its grips. No-Gi uses athletic clothing and faster movement. Both build control, awareness, and problem-solving.
“They don't want to compete.”
They don't have to. Kids can train for confidence, fitness, friendships, and the satisfaction of learning something difficult.
Trusted by local families
Parents notice what changes beyond the mat.
Kids first. Adults welcome.
A program for the child they are today—and the person they're becoming.
Kids ages 4–12 train in age-grouped BJJ classes. Adults can build the same foundation through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Gi or the faster pace of No-Gi.
Gi + No-Gi
Two ways to train. One strong foundation.
The Gi slows details down and teaches the value of grips, patience, and precise control. No-Gi removes jacket grips and adds a quicker, more athletic rhythm. The same core lesson runs through both: use technique, not panic.

Questions parents ask first.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu does not use punches or kicks. Students learn movement, position, escapes, and control through supervised, age-appropriate practice.
Gi classes use the traditional jacket and allow fabric grips. No-Gi classes use a rashguard or fitted athletic shirt and shorts, so movement tends to be faster. Both teach the same foundation of position, control, and problem-solving.
None at all. The free trial is designed to introduce the room, the basic movements, and the way coaches teach before your family makes any decision.
Fúria offers BJJ Kids for ages 4–6 and 7–12. The request form shows only the weekday afternoon classes for the selected age group, and our team confirms the spot with you.
Comfortable athletic clothes that allow free movement and a water bottle are enough for the first class. A gi is not required for the trial.
Yes. Fúria offers adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Gi as well as No-Gi classes. Choose the adult program in the booking form to see the right class times.
